A BARGAIN house up for auction in Northwich has gone under the hammer for six times its guide price.
The vacant two-bedroomed town house on Nursery Road was listed with a guide price of just £19,000.
However, the auction, which took place online at underthehammer.com, resulted in it being sold for £120,000.
Although more than six times the guide price, the hammer came down very much under the average cost of a terrace in the town.
The average cost of houses being sold in Northwich during the past year was £228,053, with terraces selling for a little more than £150,000.
In need of some much needed modernisation, the two-bed home certainly offers great potential for those operating on a tight budget.
The property comprises a reception room, kitchen, an upstairs family bathroom, and two well proportioned bedrooms.
While outside, there is a fairly sizeable back yard with the potential to extend the property at the rear.
