TRAIN services between Chester and Greenbank are cancelled or delayed due to a broken-down train.
A train has broken down on the line between the two stations, meaning Northern services running along this route are being cancelled, delayed by up to one hour or revised.
Services between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly via Stockport are currently being disrupted.
A statement from Northern reads: “Passengers are advised to use the Northern services that travel via Warrington Bank Quay.
“We apologise for the delay to these services and the additional time this may add to your journey today.
“For customers on station platforms, please listen for announcements or consult customer information screens for up-to-date train running information.
“For live information, please visit northernrailway.co.uk/stations and select the station you are travelling from or Tweet us @northernassist.
“If you've been delayed by 15 minutes or more, hold on to your tickets and claim compensation by visiting northernrailway.co.uk/delayrepay.”
