A MAN from Northwich has been banned from driving after being caught nearly three times over the limit.
Hannadiy Koztin, of Lavender Drive, was disqualified for 28 months when he appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 5.
The 52-year-old was stopped by police in King Street on March 18.
He had been driving a Peugeot 3008 at the time and when officers breathalysed him, gave a reading of 101 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath,
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
As well as disqualifying him for a period of 28 months, magistrates also fined Koztin £500.
The driving ban can be reduced by 28 weeks if Koztin completes an optional drink driving awareness course.
He must also pay £85 in costs a £50 surcharge to fund victim services.
