THE Easter Weekend is fast approaching, so here are just a few of the brilliant activities on offer across Cheshire to keep you and your children busy in both the run-up to, and on, the big day.

Knutsford Bunny Hop is making a comeback on Easter Saturday, April 16.

Families are invited to search for eight bunnies hidden in the town centre.

Little ones can also enjoy free face painting at Knutsford Market Hall on Silk Mill Street from 10am to 12 noon.

Parents can bring their children to Mr Simms at 10.30am for an Easter bonnet competition, with prizes for the winner and two runners up.

Why not spend your Easter Weekend, from April 15-18, at Tatton Park?

Brave knights are tasked with finding dragons in a fun mansion trail, spotting dragons eggs, solving puzzles and striking a pose in a knight costume.

Children can also help a mermaid find her lost belongings with a trail around the garden’s water features.

Help Bubbles the unicorn find her rainbow stripes! Youngsters can hunt for ingredients to make a mystical farmyard potion before working their magic in the enchanted forest. Look out for circus entertainment and new farm arrivals.

Lastly, everyone can help save Easter in Dairy Wood Way. Grub the terrible troll has stolen the Easter bunny’s eggs – can the children spot them all?

Treat your little ones to a world of adventure at Quarry Bank near Wilmslow.

Make your way along the trail, finding nature-inspired activities for the whole family.

The trail takes place until April 18, 10.30am to 4pm.

The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

Come and celebrate the Easter period at Jodrell Bank.

Take part in a family-orientated craft workshop, which will also aim to teach kids about all things space and science.

The Easter craft activities are drop-in sessions and suitable for all ages.

During the Easter holidays, the Lion Salt Works Museum in Northwich will be running a series of fun children’s activities.

Activities take place between 10.30am and 1pm, as well as between 2pm and 4.30pm on April 12 and 13.

These drop-in activities are suitable for young visitors aged up to 11 and cost £2 per child.

The ‘Salt Workers’ Shoe’ trail on offer at the museum is also being extended.

Available after 2.30pm on weekdays and all day on Sunday, this offer is extended over Easter and until Friday, April 29.

The award-winning curious treehouse adventure park near Whitchurch has Easter events running until April 24.

The Pesky Bunnies Easter Eggs-pedition includes a new exclusive Easter themed story, bunny ear craft, face painting and a Puzzling Park Trail Easter Egg Hunt.

Explorers have to find six giant eggs, hidden by the ‘Pesky Bunnies’, and will be rewarded on completion with a BeWILDerwood badge.

Due to popular demand, Cheshire Alpacas has decided to bring back its Easter farm scavenger hunt.

Families can get up close and personal to more than 60 alpacas in Antrobus and mingle in the field with them as part of the scavenger hunt on April 17 and 18.
