POLICE are reminding parents to be vigilant when their children use mobile phones and computers.
The warning follows concerns about pupils at an unnamed Northwich school being exposed to ‘inappropriate material online’.
Northwich issued a warning today on social media.
A spokesman said: “Due to a number of recent reports and concerns around children in a Northwich school being exposed to inappropriate material online, especially TikTok, we must advise parents and carers that all of these apps have age restrictions.
“TikTok is 13.
“We would encourage parents to check what their children are accessing and to apply parental settings to all apps and games as well as regularly checking devices including images, installed apps and conversation.”
