NORTHWICH Victoria bowed out of the Macron Cup last night.
Macclesfield defeated them 2-1 at the U Lock It Stadium in Wincham at the first-round stage.
All the goals came in the second half, with two strikes in 11 minutes from Braulio Valera Pinto Maieco putting the visitors in the ascendancy.
Matty Birchall cut the deficit in half with his 78th-minute effort but the North West Counties League Premier Division leaders held on.
Vics return to league action on Saturday when they host Burscough, kick-off 3pm.
