POLICE have launched an investigation after a large fight broke out at a Northwich high school.
Officers were made aware of the incident at Weaverham High School at around 1.20pm yesterday, March 16.
Those involved have been identified through CCTV at the school and will be spoken to in the coming days as the police investigation continues.
No serious injuries were reported, but some parents at the school have been left worried following the incident.
One mum, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “Many children are now scared to set foot into school.
“I’m extremely worried about incidents like this. Not only am I worried, but so are my children.
“More should have been done to prevent the incident from happening.”
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “The incident has been captured on CCTV cameras, all those involved have been identified and their parents have been informed.
“There were no reports of any serious injuries.
“Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are working closely with the school to gather statements from the pupils.
“All those involved will be spoken to over the coming days.”
