A MAN was found dead in Northwich town centre on Sunday.
Police, who are not treating the death as suspicious, were called to Brockhurst Street just after 5am.
Officers attended the scene with paramedics and found a 42-year-old man unconscious.
Despite their best efforts to resuscitate the man, he was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At around 5.15am on Sunday, March 13, police were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man near to Brockhurst Street, Northwich.
"Police and paramedics attended the scene and a 42-year-old man was found unconscious.
"Sadly, despite the best efforts of all the involved, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been made aware.
"The death not being treated as suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner."
