MOTORISTS on the M6 faced long delays this morning, Thursday.

Two lanes were closed on the northbound carriageway following a crash involving two lorries.

The accident occurred between junction 21 for the A57 Manchester Road at Woolston and junction 21a for the M62 at Croft Interchange.

Long queues developed as a result, with drivers advised to allow extra time for journeys.

However, all names have now reopened after the accident was cleared, and traffic is beginning to flow again.

Tailbacks stretched back to junction 20 for the M56 at Lymm Interchange.
