A COUPLE from Northwich who set up a business to raise a bit of extra cash to help them get on the property ladder have been taken aback by its success.

Nathan Duncalf and Georgina Morgan discussed several ideas before they came up with the idea of selling sweets.

In June last year, Sugar Rush was born and the business has really taken off, with the couple being so regularly inundated with orders they've had to re-locate to a storage unit.

Georgina explains: "It all came about when we were talking about how we could make a bit of extra money.

"We had a lot of ideas, but we eventually decided on sweets, because everybody loves sweets don't they?

"I took a couple of hundred of pounds out of my savings, bought some sweets and started a Facebook page.

"But within months of starting it, things just went that crazy we've had to hire out a storage unit as we ran out of space at home."

"People started ordering our sweet cones for events, such as baby showers, and then we started filling pizza boxes full of them too."

To make the success all the more remarkable, the couple both work full-time so have to process and deliver orders in their spare time.

"Literally every night we have to go to the storage unit," she added.

"It is quite hard when you work full-time, particularly at Christmas time when we got inundated.

"It's amazing how its all happened really."

With a website now up and running, the options for customers are endless, with orders coming in from across the country.

"We always try and do as much as we can together as it's our business," Georgina added.

"It's unbelievable how much its grown.

"Our Facebook page now has over 5000 followers.

"We've even had other businesses who place orders for sweet pouches to give to their own customers.

"We've had orders from as far away as Northern Ireland, so they're literally being sent everywhere.

"Since taking that few hundred quid out of my savings its really blown up."
