More than 500 new Covid cases have been reported in Cheshire West and Cheshire East in the latest 24-hour period.
According to figures released by Public Health England, 551 people tested positive across the two boroughs between 4pm yesterday and 4pm today.
This is made up of 220 in Cheshire West, which takes the borough's total since the pandemic began to 100,625.
There were 331 new cases in Cheshire East, with the borough's total now at 106,522.
The seven-day case rates for both boroughs continue to drop, with both now under 600 per 100,000 of the population.
A total of 2,018 people tested positive in the last week in Cheshire West, making the rate 586.9.
There were 2,113 new cases in Cheshire East in the same period, taking the rate to 546.5.
Nationally there were 54,218 new cases reported in the latest 24-hour period.
