BATMAN’S arch-rival has finally been brought to justice.

A man from Runcorn, named only as ‘The Joker’ on court lists, was jailed for six months at Warrington Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 10, after admitting dangerous driving.

The 40-year-old, whose real name is understood to be Lee Roberts, also pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

These charges related to an incident in Crewe two days earlier, during which he was caught riding a Kawasaki ZX1100 motorbike while banned from the roads.

Joker, of Thorn Road, was also disqualified from driving for a further 33 months and will be required to pass an extended retest.

He was told to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and £85 in court costs by magistrates, who also seized the vehicle.

The defendant was originally banned from driving back in 2001, but later duped the DVLA into issuing him a new licence in his brother’s name.

After being pulled over by police near his home in November 2020, he told officers that he was his twin – but later admitted his true identity after further questioning.

Roberts was then jailed for 16 months in May last year at Chester Crown Court, having admitted using a licence with intent to deceive, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
