AFTER losing more than 10 stone – half her body weight – a super slimmer is now helping others to shed the pounds.

Sarah Cooper will be leading her first Slimming World group in Lostock Gralam after becoming a consultant herself.

The 39-year-old is well-placed to offer expert advice and support after going from 21st 3lbs to 10st 10lbs and dropping a whopping six to seven dress sizes.

Sarah, who is from Lymm and first attended a Slimming World group in Grappenhall, said: “After changing room tears I knew I had to change something.

“After years of telling myself I looked ok this was the final straw.

“So I decided to go along to the Slimming World group in Lymm - I was terrified, I thought I would be judged as soon as I walked through the doors but I wasn’t!”

Sarah went from skipping meals to enjoying healthy, filling meals, swapping out quick and easy meal deals to homemade soups, salads or filling jacket potatoes, and cutting out crisps, cake, chocolate and takeaways for her favourite home-cooked food.

“Before, the only activity I did was having an active job,” Sarah added.

“Now I do three fitness dance classes a week, I walk and I had the confidence to join the local women’s cricket team too which I would have never done or had the energy for before.

Now Sarah has trained as a consultant for Slimming World, and will take over a group in Lostock Gralam next month.

Sarah said: “Obesity is becoming such a huge issue across the UK.

“When I first walked through the doors at Slimming World, never did I think I would join, let alone change my lifestyle in such an easy way and now to become a consultant and help others do the same is just incredible.

“It’s a privilege for me to be able to pass on the experience, insight and understanding that helped me, so that I can give my members the support they need to get to target.”

Sarah’s group runs every Friday at Lostock Gralam Community Centre, Stubbs Lane, Northwich, at 9.30am, starting on March 5.
