KIND-HEARTED bikers wanting to give back to the community have been busy delivering food and essentials to people in need across Cheshire and the surrounding areas.

Ride to Raise is a group of people who decided getting on motorbikes would be a great idea to help raise funds for worthy causes.

Three members of the group didn’t have motorcycle licences at the time – or even own motorbikes – but passed in time for the group's first charity event on New Year’s Day.

After the 500-mile charity motorbike ride on January 1, raising more than £2,000 for St Luke’s Hospice, the group was determined to help even more people.

Northwich Guardian:

Ride to Raise, which operates across Cheshire and further afield, used two motorbikes to deliver food, hot drinks, clothes and essentials to people in need across Chester, Liverpool, Crewe and Nantwich.

A spokesperson added: “Ride to Raise has been in touch with the following and shall be supporting them as much as we can; Mid Cheshire Foodbank, Manna House Hanley - Homeless Drop-in and Soul Kitchen Chester.

“We shall also continue to provide hot drinks, food, clothing and essentials to the homeless in Mid Cheshire, Chester, Hanley and Stoke, as well as Liverpool and Manchester and surrounding areas.”
