MORE than 7,500 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded in Cheshire West and Cheshire East in the last seven days.
According to figures released by Public Health England, there were 3,618 new cases in Cheshire West over the last week.
This figure includes the latest daily update of 578 new cases in the borough between 4pm on January 25 and 4pm today.
This means the seven-day case rate for Cheshire West currently sits at 1,052.3 per 100,000 of the population.
In neighbouring Cheshire East, there were 654 new cases in the latest 24-hour period and a total of 4,013 over the last week.
This leaves the borough's seven-day case rate at 1,037.8 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 102,292 new cases reported in the latest 24-hour period.
