London Southend Airport have welcomed the arrival of three Swiss Air Force helicopters.
It is their first ever visit to the UK, following a weeklong training exercise at the Electronics Warfare Tactics Facility at RAF Spadeadam in Cumbria.
The Swiss Air Force AS532 Cougar helicopters arrived at the airport in the rain on December 6 and was their first ever visit to the UK.
They have been based at the RAF Leeming and were flying to the training ground at RAF Spadeadam every day.
The helicopters were originally due to stay for three weeks, however returned home earlier because of ‘operational reasons.
