THE reception class children at a Winsford primary school have had a very interesting start to their education.
As well as discovering the story of the Gingerbread man, they have also been getting on their dancing shoes, including learning some Bollywood-inspired dance moves.
There are two reception classes at Darnhall Primary School this year, the Dragonfly and Butterfly Class of 2021.
Mrs Kadene Fife, Dragonfly class teacher shared said: "The children have had a fantastic year so far.
"During the first half term they explored the story the Gingerbread man who caused lots of mischief in our classroom.
"The children made fantastic look out posters to try and track him down.
"We love our Diddi Dance sessions which we take part in every Friday.
"We have learnt some great moves such as the mash potato, jive and Bollywood dancing.
"The children have also enjoyed many creative activities such as making Diya lamps using clay and baking gingerbread men which we then decorated.
"We have been learning a variety of new skills during their Forest School sessions including lighting a fire using a lint and flint and how to make a habitat.
"The highlight of our sessions was making hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows."
