FIREFIGHTERS saved a man after he entered the River Weaver in Northwich in the early hours of this morning, Saturday.
Crews from Northwich, Lymm and Warrington fire stations attended the incident near Marbury Lane at around 1.50am.
Also in attendance was Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service’s specialist swift water team.
After receiving reports of a man in the river, crews attended and rescued him from the water with the aid of a raft.
He was then handed to the care of paramedics.
Fire crews remained in attendance at the scene for around one hour and 30 minutes.
