THESE are the latest coronavirus case rates and numbers across Cheshire East and West.

A total of 554 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire between 4pm on November 24 and 4pm on November 25, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

This is made up of 273 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 281 cases in Cheshire East.

This brings the total number of cases recorded since the start of the pandemic to 52,869 in Cheshire West and 56,373 in Cheshire East.

The latest update means there have now been 1,780 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 517.7 per 100,000 people.

There have been 1,649 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 426.5 per 100,000.
