HERE are the latest coronavirus case rates and numbers across Cheshire East and West as both areas maintain a rate of more than 400.

A total of 453 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire between 4pm on November 22 and 4pm on November 23, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

This is made up of 221 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 232 cases in Cheshire East.

This brings the total number of cases recorded since the start of the pandemic to 52,326 in Cheshire West and 55,878 in Cheshire East.

The latest update means there have now been 1,691 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 491.8 per 100,000 people.

There have been 1,611 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 461.6 per 100,000.
