HERE are the latest coronavirus case rates and numbers across Cheshire East and West as both areas record more than 1,600 cases in one week.

A total of 471 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire between 4pm on November 21 and 4pm on November 22, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

This is made up of 252 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 219 cases in Cheshire East.

This brings the total number of cases recorded since the start of the pandemic to 52,105 in Cheshire West and 55,646 in Cheshire East.

The latest update means there have now been 1,637 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 476.1 per 100,000 people.

There have been 1,606 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 415.3 per 100,000.
