IT is surely a first for football in this area – and it may never have happened before in the wider game.

Saturday was a memorable day for the Woolley family as four brothers – Matthew, Joe, Jack and Harrison – all scored on the same afternoon.

To start the day off, Jack netted Lostock Gralam's second goal in their Mid-Cheshire FA Cup group stage match against Winnington Avenue 94 Reserves.

His 16-year-old brother Harrison then came off the bench for his senior debut, and capped it off by rounding off the scoring in a 3-0 victory for the Grey Lambs.

Over at Trafford's Shawe View ground, Joe then put 1874 Northwich 2-1 up just after half time in their Northern Premier League West Division match.

All eyes were now on Matt to see if he could make it a perfect four, and he did just that with a late penalty to round off an impressive 5-2 win for Greens.
