A HORSE called Clive is safe and well after being trapped in water for several hours.
Firefighters were called to the River Dane on Shipbrook Road in Davenham at around 7.30pm last night.
The rope rescue unit from Lymm Fire Station set up specialist lighting to bring the horse to safety.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The horse named Clive had been stuck in the water for a number of hours before the crews arrived but is doing well after his ordeal. “

Firefighters were at the scene for around three and a half hours.
