TWO former soccer stars have teamed up with celebrities for a charity football match.

Defender Wes Brown, who played for Manchester United and ex-Everton striker James Beattie will be joining TV stars and actors for a game at Witton Albion Football Club at 2pm on Sunday, November 14.

Football freestyle legend Jeremy Lynch has just confirmed he will be playing too.

The players are raising funds for a charity set up in memory of Matilda Cosgrove from Northwich, who was tragically stillborn in June last year.

Her parents Mark, 41, and Stacie, 33, have vowed to buy presents for children spending Christmas in Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Wes and Adam will be playing with Gogglebox star Tom Malone, James Argent and Dan Osborne from The Only Way is Essex, Love Island stars Josh Ritchie and Luke Trotman from Love Island, James Hill, from Celebrity Big Brother and Joe Sealey from Cheshire Housewives.

Matt Lapinskas from Dancing On Ice, Ali Hamidi from ITV Carp Fishing, Nev Wilshire from BBC Call Centre and actors Dean Gaffney and Danny Hatchard will also be in the Sellebrity XI team.

"It's brilliant that we have so many big names giving up their time to play for us.

"Ticket sales are going well at the minute and we’re hoping we have a lot of turnout who pay on the day. Looks like it’s going to be a very good event."
