A TALENTED young actor has made his TV debut with a role in ITV's new three-part crime drama.

Rex Parry, from Davenham, stars in The Tower, which has been airing at 9pm since Monday.

The six-year-old enjoys both modelling and acting, and secured his first television role earlier this year.

Mum Kerry explained: "I have two sons and they both do modelling and acting and it was around summer time Rex got a casting request for this.

"He had to do a self tape first of all in April.

"He then got invited for a face-to-face casting in Liverpool."

Rex was involved in filming across a three-week period and was thrilled to be involved.

"He absolutely loved it," Kerry said.

"It was brilliant and he got some amazing feedback."

Rex attends Stage Coach classes in Warrington and hopes to keep pursing acting in the future.

Kerry added: "Rex says he wants to be the next 'Harry Potter'.

"He's said that since he was about four."

According to ITV, The Tower is adapted from the Kate London crime novel Post Mortem.

The last episode in the three-part drama airs on ITV at 9pm this evening.
