A NEW entertainment venue is proving a big hit.
The big concert hall at community owned The Hive in Winsford has hosted a feast of international musicians and tribute acts since it opened three weeks ago.
The legendary Christians, who released multi million selling albums at home and abroad, will be performing live at 7pm on Saturday, November 13.
The Liverpool band, now in their 26th year, has released a new album Speed of Life to rave reviews.
Critics say the distinctive soul tones of Garry Christian remain 'pretty special'.
Sam Lyon, events and marketing supervisor of The Hive Live Ltd, said: “We are thrilled the Christians agreed to include an appearance in Winsford as part of their UK tour.
"It's a real coup for the Hive in its mission to attract big name acts to the area so residents don’t always have to leave town for great entertainment.
"We hope we can give the band the best night of their tour and help spread the word that Winsford is a great town to gig."
The band will play favourites including Ideal World, Born Again, Harvest for the World, Words, Father and Hooverville.
Tickets priced £22 are available on the door in advance at thehivelive.org
