THE Royal Cheshire County Show returns to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a two day extravaganza.

The event will be held at the usual showground near Knutsford on June 21 and 22, 2022.

The Cheshire Agricultural Society has also launched its annual Christmas card competition.

Photographers are invited to submit their best winter photograph of the Cheshire countryside to be in with a chance to win two family passes to next year's event.

The winning photograph will be used on the Cheshire Show Christmas cards that are sent to friends of the show.

After the 2021 show having been restricted due to Covid-19 requirements, many popular attractions will be back in 2022.

Highlights include light and heavy horses, livestock, Cheshire farmers market, Roberts Bakery food village and the Shetland Pony Grand National.

Paul Hannam's quad bike stunt show is back by popular demand.

More special surprises will be announced soon.

Tickets and memberships are available to buy now at special early bird rates. Family passes permitting two adults and two children are priced at £40 until the end of the year.
