LEIGH Hadfield has concluded the outdoor archery season with a significant achievement.
The Winnington Park bowman finished second in the Olympic Recurve category when representing Cheshire at the Five Counties Tournament in York.
represented Cheshire along with his team mates at the five counties tournament in York.
He came up against a very experienced field of the best archers from the northern counties, capping the day by also winning team silver overall with his five colleagues.
The archers competed in a York round, which is 144 arrows shot at distances of 100, 80 and 60 yards.
Action now switches indoors and Hadfield has his first shot at a title in the Northern Counties competition at Sheffield in November.
