THESE are the latest Covid-19 case numbers across Mid Cheshire.
The figures show 279 new cases were recorded in Cheshire West and Chester in the 24 hours up to 4pm today, with 499 cases recorded in Cheshire East.
This is compared to 197 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 327 cases in Cheshire East in a 24-hour period as of Monday.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands 42,872 in Cheshire West and 44,918 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now been 1,532 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 445.6 per 100,000 people.
There have been 2,087 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 539.7 per 100,000.
Nationally, there were 38,520 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
