HERE is the number of Covid-19 cases recorded across Cheshire West and Cheshire East.

A total of 438 new cases were reported in Mid Cheshire in the 24 hours up to 4pm today, Thursday, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

This is made up of 194 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 244 cases in Cheshire East.

This is compared to 229 new cases recorded in Cheshire West and Chester and 309 cases recorded in Cheshire East in the previous 24 hours.

The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands at 38,788 in Cheshire West and 39,146 in Cheshire East.

The latest update means there have now 1,224 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 356 per 100,000 people.

There have been 1,513 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 391.3 per 100,000.

Nationally there were 36,710 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
