WINSFORD Community Hub has set up a 'clothes revival' as part of the The Great Big Green Week.

This nationwide celebration of action on climate change is taking place until Sunday, September 26 and the hub is joining in by accepting clothing donations to reduce the amount of unwanted clothes going to landfill.

Jo Conchie said: "We're taking donations now and up until the event.

"People will then be able to come down on Sunday between 10am and 4pm.

"It's £3 to get in and people can fill a 'bag for life' size bag full of any clothes that take their eye.

"The main aim is to encourage people to reduce waste, and re-use and recycle items – hopefully making long term sustainable choices.

"Any clothes leftover on the day will be taken to charity shops and 100 per cent of the proceeds go towards further developing the Winsford Community Hub as a space for various community projects.

"We've established Winsford Community Hub in the old job centre and it's becoming a really good space.

"Winsford Community Grocery uses the bottom floor and the top floor is shared between a number of groups."

If you are clearing out your wardrobe, donations can be dropped off at Winsford Community Grocery, High Street, Winsford on Tuesday from 9am until 12pm or  Thursday, from 10am until 8pm.

Or, message the hub page to arrange a drop off via facebook.com/WinsfordCommunityHub.

Donations should be of a decent quality please and of a condition that people would be happy to pass on to a friend to wear.
