A MAN has been arrested after police raided an address in Winsford and found a machete and suspected drugs paraphernalia.
The Northwich Local Policing Unit raid took place on Wednesday (September 15) morning when officers burst through the front door of the home on Dee Way.
Among the items found at the scene were wraps of powder, cannabis, digital scales, as well as the machete.
The 33-year-old man, who has not been named, was arrested at the scene and taken to police custody in Middlewich where he will be interviewed.
Winsford Wharton Police tweeted: "Warrant conducted on Dee Way, Winsford by Northwich LPU A Block, led by PC Ruston.
"Wraps of white powder, cannabis, digital scales and a machete recovered.
"One male occupant in custody.
"Please report criminality to us online, to your local BEAT Officer or via Crimestoppers."
The raid is the latest in a long line of warrants being executed by the force, as it looks to clamp down on criminality across the county.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "A 33-year-old man from Winsford was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply Class A and possession of an offensive weapon.
"He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
