ST Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School is holding a gin night to raise much-needed funds.

The Hartford-based school's PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) are hosting the 'Gin and Nibbles' evening on Friday, September 24 from 7pm, the proceeds of which will go towards the school and its pupils.

A spokesperson said: "The PTFA have worked tirelessly over the years to provide equipment and experiences for the children of St Wilfrid’s.

"Money raised has gone towards creating a ‘Golden Mile’ all weather track, a pool party for year six leavers, outdoor gym equipment and climbing frames and additional outdoor seating in order to have lessons in the fresh air.

"This is a perfect date for a post-summer catch up with friends, to bask in the triumph of the kids being well out of your hair and back at school.

"Your ticket will include five expertly chosen gins with the perfect mixers and garnishes, grazing boards and lots of other treats.

"Alternatively, if you prefer bubbles to spirits, we are also offering a prosecco option too.

"It is £20 a ticket for gin or £10 for prosecco."

The evening will take place at Rudheath Social Club on Middlewich Road.

Tickets will be available via school gateway, with payment via online banking to PTA (message for details) or PayPal.
