More than 1,500 new Covid cases have been recorded in Cheshire West over the last seven days.
According to figures released by Public Health England, there have been a total of 1,573 positive tests in the borough during the last week.
This includes 200 cases recorded in the latest 24-hour period from 4pm on September 9 until 4pm today.
This leaves the borough with a seven-day case rate of 457.5 per 100,000.
Elsewhere in neighbouring Cheshire East, there were 203 new cases recorded in the latest 24-hour period.
This means there have been a total of 1,472 positive tests in the borough over the last seven days, giving a rate of 380.7 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 37,622 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
