A VIDEO game developer in Warrington has been recognised by Microsoft in an international awards ceremony.

Matt Jones works at Sumo Warrington at The Base business centre in Dallam Lane.

The studio is the newest addition to the Sumo Digital group and the team worked on the double BAFTA winning 'Sackboy: A Big Adventure' which was released late last year as a launch title for the PlayStation 5.

They also recently helped Sports Interactive with Football Manager 2021 to deliver performance and graphic improvements for the latest instalment of the much-loved franchise.

But behind the scenes, Matt has also been running 'C# on Discord' – a forum which has more than 23,000 members.

That brought him to the attention of Microsoft's MVP (Most Valuable Professional) Awards.

The awards celebrate and thank top-notch technology experts for making outstanding contributions to their communities – branding them as 'MVPs'.
