BARNTON Post Office is temporarily closed following the resignation of the postmaster.
There is no reopening date for the branch, located at 76 Runcorn Road, and the Post Office is 'working hard to restore service to the area as soon as possible'.
A Post Office spokesperson said: "Barton Post Office closed on August 26 due to the resignation of the postmaster.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure.
"We are working hard to restore service to the area as soon as possible.
"The vacancy is advertised on runapostoffice.co.uk.
"In the meantime alternative branches include Northwich and Castle."
The full addresses of the alternative branches are Northwich Post Office, 58-60 High Street, Northwich, and Castle Post Office, 9 Chester Road, Northwich.
