A UNIQUE woodland adventure park next to the historic Cholmondeley Castle is hosting "a magical event for all the family to enjoy" during October half-term.

Tickets for The Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade at Cheshire attraction, BeWILDerwood, will go on sale next week.

The special out-of-hours event, taking place from October 23-31, promises visitors the opportunity to "adventure through a spectacular light extravaganza and watch the story of BeWILDerwood unfold as they journey through the woods down mysterious paths".

Tom Blofeld, author and creator of the magical book series BeWILDerwood is based on, said: "This amazing event is based on BeWILDerwood Norfolk’s famous Lantern Parade, which is so popular with locals in Norfolk.

"So, we’re sure everyone will love the Cheshire event just as much! It really is set to be a magical event for all the family to enjoy this October. But we do recommend booking your tickets early as it historically sells out very fast!"

So what can visitors expect?

As dusk falls visitors can craft their very own Boggle Bindle Lantern to help the Boggles light up the woods, before embarking on a journey through BeWILDerwood like you have never seen before.

Navigate your way through the beautifully lit twilight woodland and keep a look out for hints of the BeWILDerwood characters peering out to say ‘yoo-hoo!’ along the way.

But don’t worry if you aren’t the bravest Boggle – it’s spooky not scary! A wonderful array of yummy grub will be available at the onsite Munch bar, including warming snacks and hot drinks.

The team at BeWILDerwood encourage visitors to come dressed in their very best spooktacular costumes too.

How do you get tickets for The Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade?

Tickets will go on sale online from 10am on September 1.

They are priced £10 per person (under 92cm, wheelchair users and carers are free).

BeWILDerwood says the event is a wonderful twilight walk through the woods so play structures will not be open.

The Parade has scheduled time slots and is a separate ticketed event. Timeslots will start from 6pm and tickets need to be booked online in advance.
