TODAY (August 26) is National Dog Day and our readers have been sending in photographs of their own dogs to celebrate.
National Dog Day celebrates all breeds and types of dogs – from those who found their forever home as a puppy, to those were lucky enough to be rescued and given a second chance.
The day honours family pets and also those who work so hard to help us, like assistance dogs, medical alert dogs, therapy dogs and police dogs.
