THERE are long delays on the M6 southbound this morning, Monday, after an accident involving a car and a lorry.
The incident occured between junction 19 for Knutsford and junction 18 for Middlewich.
Two fire crews responded and on arrival administered first aid to three people.
They also used cutting equipment to remove the doors of the car for ease of access.
Congestion is backing up to junction 20 for Lymm Interchange and travel time is estimated to be more than an hour.
Traffic was held between 7.20 and 7.50 but one lane has since reopened.
