TICKETS are now on sale for a hugely popular beer festival set to make its return following a pandemic enforced absence last year.

Rotary in Northwich have announced the return of the Northwich Beer and Drinks Festival for its 27th year at the Memorial Court on Friday and Saturday, September 17 and 18.

In response to popular demand there’ll be even more ciders this year, an expanded gin bar, lots of Prosecco and soft drinks as well as the stars of the festival - the beers.

Live music will also feature with two exciting bands booked to play, with Spitting Feathers performing on the Friday night and Twisted Lick on Saturday.

For Festival Chair Peter Holland the festival's return, after last year's unavoidable gap, is most welcome, as he hopes to make up for lost time by raising money for Rotary's charities and good causes.

He said: "Many of our Rotary fundraising events planned for 2020 and the early part of 2021 have been postponed, meaning we’ve had less money to share with local charities and good causes.

"We’re hoping the 2021 Beer Festival will help us to once again raise funds to support our local voluntary organisations and charities.

"Rotary in Northwich can’t do this on their own, we need the extraordinary generosity and support of our sponsors who support the festival and donate to our efforts.

"This year our main sponsors are CRS and Club Class with support from Radio Northwich."

There are still opportunities available to local businesses, organisations and individuals to sponsor individual barrels or beer or ciders, gins or prosecco to support this year's event.

Peter added: "Sponsoring a barrel only costs £99.

"Each sponsor’s name is prominently displayed on the sponsored drinks, their support is recognised within the official programme and they have space on the festival website.

"Throughout the event the sponsor’s name and logo are projected onto a large screen in a rotational loop and as the image changes it really does catch the eye.

"In addition each sponsor will receive four complimentary tickets allowing entry to any of the three sessions – Friday night, Saturday lunchtime or Saturday night, or a mixture of each.

"At both the evening sessions entertainment will be provided by live bands.

"I’m delighted to say that this year we have Spitting Feathers appearing on Friday night and Twisted Lick playing on Saturday evening."

Anyone interested in promoting their business or organisation as well as supporting this long standing charitable fundraising event can get in touch with Peter at northwichrotaryclub@gmail.com.

Prices this year are £8 for the evening sessions and £4 for Saturday afternoon.
