POPULAR BBC weather presenter Owain Wyn Evans paid a surprise visit to Northwich today (Thursday, August 5).
The North West Tonight star visited The Wow Shop - Balloons and Things, where he was greeted by an amazing balloon creation of himself.
Owain, who was in town filming his 'Golden Pin' segment for the early evening news programme, said he'd had 'a fabulous day'.
His visit came after he stuck his golden pin in a map of the north west last week and it landed on Northwich.
During his visit, Owain met some Alpaca's, at Cheshire Alpaca's in Antrobus where he fed them their lunch.
He even visited the Salty Dog, where he met owner Chris Mundie and gave a demonstration of his famous drum playing.
As well as speaking to people around the town during his visit, Owain also presented the weather live from Northwich Quay Marina.
Sadly, despite his visit spreading plenty of brightness, it did not result in him providing a glowing weather forecast, with heavy rain expected over the coming days.
