A POPULAR paddling pool in Northwich has finally re-opened after being shut during the pandemic.

Church Walk Paddling Pool re-opened today (Monday, August 2) with the free facility likely to prove a draw for families with young children.

Northwich Town Council have been working to put measures in place to reopen the pool during the summer holidays, with all visitors required to book in advance.

The booking system is being used in a bid to control numbers and to ensure the safety of visitors and to make it a more enjoyable experience for those attending.

There will be a morning session from 10am – 12.30pm and an afternoon session from 2pm – 5pm

The pool will close from 12pm – 2pm to enable staff to carry out a full clean down of the pool, toilets, shop and seating areas.

A spokesman for the pool said: "During this time, the morning session will leave to make way for the afternoon session, we would ask that all visitors adhere to these timings as any delay could affect the afternoon session for other visitors.

"Wrist bands will be issued during all sessions if visitors wish to leave the pool and re-enter during their timed session, these are to be handed back in when leaving.

"If you are booking a session at the pool please remember to add all people attending to the booking.

"Those without a booking on the day will be denied entry into the pool.

"To avoid disappointment please ensure your booking states the names of all attendees.
