Barons Quay launches summer holidays fun for all the family

Summer Unlocked includes an exciting Wildflower Maze that children can explore and learn about nature as they navigate the twists and turns in search of the secret summer house at its centre.

The maze will be situated in the Wildflower Meadow opposite H&M and Sticky Paws and will be open daily from between 11am and 7pm.

As well as the maze, Barons Quay is working with the Northwich BID to host a number of free family activities every Saturday, which began with a Woodland Owl Experience on Saturday, July 24. The unique event enabled children to be able to see a selection of owls and interact with them.

This weekend, activities include the chance to meet Elsa, Cinderella and Captain America with a special Enchanted Princess and Superhero day on Saturday, July 31.

It provides free fun for all the family this summer

Children will be able to get crafty and grow their own with a special Paint and Plant Day on August 21 and Floral Stilt Walkers will bring fun and colour to Barons Quay and the town centre on Saturday, August 28.

There will also be two free live music events happening at Barons Quay this Summer, organised by Radio Northwich, Music Is Quay will see local acts perform on the August 14 and 28.

Centre Manager Lina Higuita said: "After the last 18 months we wanted to unlock the fun and for this summer to be all about play and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.

"Our wildflower maze is open every day for children to explore and enjoy and there are a host of free activities that local families can get involved in, from getting up close to amazing birds of prey to meeting their favourite princess or superhero - there’s something for everyone to enjoy over the next six weeks."
