THE memories made during the build-up to a wedding last a lifetime.

Part of the planning and preparation includes a trip to a wedding boutique to finalise the dress for the big day.

Sarah’s Wedding Boutique in Witton Street recognises the importance of that, and with coronavirus restrictions being lifted in England, the boutique can allow for an extra guest, moving from two to three, to join the bride-to-be in a visit to the shop.

“It’s so important,” said Sarah Dean, who has had the shop for eight years. "Beforehand we were doing some WhatsApp chats but it’s such an important moment for the bride, I think it means a lot for them to share the moment with people who are special to them.

“It’s been such a difficult time for them and we’ve had so many brides have had postponed weddings up to three times now.

“For them to come in and have their fittings and actually plan for their day, it means so much to them that they are moving one step closer because they want to get married at the end of the day.”

Like a lot of other Northwich businesses, they are being cautious and encouraging people to wear face masks. The staff will continue to do so, track and trace will still be in place and so will sanitation stations.

Sarah, who lives in Chester, but has lots of family in Northwich, added: “We are a small business and if one of us is subject to isolation or illness, then it would force us to temporarily close.

“The brides have been really understanding with the restrictions that are in place.”

They will keep their current guidelines as they are for now and review it as time goes on.
