RESIDENTS are being invited to find out more about plans to extend HS2 from Crewe to Manchester and beyond today, Monday (July 12).

The event will take place at the Canalside Conference Centre in Brooks Lane, Middlewich, with slots available between 2pm and 8pm.

Subject to the outcome of the Integrated Rail Plan, the UK Government is getting ready to deposit a hybrid bill, seeking the powers to build and operate the Western Leg of HS2 Phase 2b.

This will run between Crewe and Manchester with a connection to the West Coast Main Line serving towns and cities en route to Scotland.

At the event taking place in Middlewich, residents will be able to view the latest plans for HS2 in the area, and find out more about the process.

People can also speak to a team of experts and there will be displays, interactive maps and literature to take away.

Entry to the event is through pre-booked timed slots.

Each slot is 30 minutes in length.
