CINEMAS are back open but the novelty of a drive-in experience has yet to wear off with another open air weekend of films planned in aid of The Christie.

Jaws, Finding Nemo and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel will be shown on July 30, July 31 and August 1 respectively at Arley Hall and Gardens.

The movies will be shown in all their glory on the 'the iCONIC 100' – the world’s largest mobile LED HD screen.

There will even be live music from singer Jo Farrow prior to the evening screenings, and 'pirate magician' Captain Dan Tastic will be there to entertain the children before Finding Nemo.

Food and drinks will be available before and during each screening. Alternatively, guests are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the car. Toilet facilities will also be provided.

Claire Ferguson from The Christie charity said: “We are very excited to be returning to Arley Hall and Gardens for another Drive-in for The Christie event.

"The feedback we receive from these events continues to be so positive and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back this summer.”

The Christie is one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe. The Christie charity supports the hospital by providing enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds.

Tickets are £30 per car, with five people allowed in each car. Visit christies.org/movies.
