A KIND-HEARTED member of the public has been leaving knitted treasures around Northwich to help improve mental health.

One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, found one of the 'worry worms' at Neumann's Flashes and wanted to thank the maker for the help it brought them.

They said: "It shows that compassion and kindness still has a place in Northwich.

"I would like to thank the person who left this ‘worry worm’ on a post at Neumann's Flashes.

"This is just what I have needed at this time of my life. Hopefully in a few weeks my situation will have changed and I will be able to return it for someone else’s benefit.

"It has already helped greatly to see that someone cares enough to create such a thing and leave it for a person in need, to find it."

The 'worry worm' came with a note which read: "I will listen to your secrets and promise not to tell.

"Share your worries and fears with me and soon you will feel at ease. The only thing I ask is will you love me please?

"I do not need food or a daily walk, but I am always here for you when you need to talk."
