A NORTHWICH supermarket has donated furniture to a care home as it carried out a refurbishment.
The manager of Sainsbury's, which is undergoing a transition in its store, kindly donated chairs and tables to use at HC-One’s Daneside Court residential and nursing care home.
Store manager Ian Massey presented the former cafe furniture to the home's maintenance person Stephen Tydd and was joined by his colleague Aaron Glaze, a manager at the supermarket.
Samantha Farahat, Care Home Manager, said, "We are so pleased about our new delivery of chairs and tables as this means we will be able to host outdoor picnics for our residents.
"And a special ‘thank you’ to Ian Massey for thinking about us."
Laura Davis, Deputy Manager, said, "We are planning to host a Pride picnic on June 23 so this is perfect timing, especially now that Covid restrictions are lifting.
"We will be able to assist residents outside for them to enjoy the fresh air and sun, and why not include a picnic too."
