A teenager has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm.
The 16-year-old boy was arrested on Monday after armed police and officers were called to reports of a teenager armed with a pistol in Northwich, shortly after 6.15pm.
He has since been charged for possession of the item in a public place.
A 48-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on Monday, however, she has been released without charge.
The boy has been bailed to appear at West Cheshire Youth Court next week.
