Firefighters rescue calf stuck in water off Dark Lane in Northwich
A CALF stuck in water was rescued by firefighters.
The 23-month-old calf was trapped in water off Dark Lane in Northwich shortly after 8.30pm last night.
Firefighters helped the animal down the water course and led it to safety.
The calf was then walked out of the water and handed back into the care of a farmer.
Three fire engines attended the incident from Northwich, Knutsford and Bollington.
